About the artist Vu Dinh Tuan

Vu Dinh Tuan
Born: 1973
The human face is a metaphor for the origin of the work, the artist said: "Each face is a slice of time, an emotion or a fleeting but very special state". The human faces in his work, sometimes full of five senses, sometimes completely empty to contain reflections of the outside world. Then the faces are pushed to a higher symbolic level, carrying the meaning of deep inner reflection.
The next characteristic pattern is the oil lamp, mostly on the faces, sometimes the whole chandelier. Besides, there are images of small creatures swarming in nature such as: Birds, fish, grasshoppers, dragonflies, ants, bees, swans... bringing a feeling of happiness in the beautiful nature.
Human faces are often the central position in the works and from there the story is developed through the integration of symbols of nature or phenomena around the human face.
